How Can severe Dizziness Along With Vomiting Be Treated?

Symptoms of dizziness, vomiting, shaking hand (not often), and murky concentration when trying to think hard. I ve had bad dizziness forever and four years ago a CT scan revealed nothing and said I was good. Can a lot change in 4 or 5 years? I have a worry that I might have a tumor or something.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It is understandable to be concerned.

It is possible that your symptoms are not related to a severe or life-altering condition especially in light of previous normal results but you would need to be assessed.

The most common reasons for dizziness and vomiting are issues with the inner ear such as BPPV, Meniere's disease and vestibular neuronitis. These are not life-threatening and improve with treatment.

Your doctor can assess you to see if any of these are likely.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James,
